Cities connected by music: Design of A Music Space
Research

During the research phase, students formed groups of 3-4 in their Zoom breakout rooms and research a music style (pop, jazz, blues, rock music, blues, hip hop, new age, R&B, heavy metal, electronic, classic, Local (fado, polka, gypsy, country, etc.), and local interpretation of any genre)

Then, they presented their findings with a 5-minute presentation. Presentations included

• history,

• source of inspiration,

• global/regional impact,

• major followers,

• its performance

• the cities of this music

• museum or commemorative monument or events regularly organized for this music.

 

Then, each student conducted second research on a band or solo musician of this music style and included the similar details above in his/her research. Based on the research, the students decided about the city of their designs.
